Holy Spirit is the helper that Jesus sent for us. Anointing of Holy Spirit is the God's presence in us. He “will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I(Jesus) have said to you. John 14:26” . He crowns us with Spirit of Sonship, “ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15”. He will remind us of our worth and value in Christ.
Holy Spirit is pictured as pigeon in the Bible, as they don’t stand even slight disturbance. Our mistakes leak the anointing from our life; refill is possible only via worship. In the previous article we learned what we lose and don’t lose, when we miss the anointing. Let us learn more about it.
Gifts of Holy Spirit

Gift is something that we get on our birthday, for free. Not that we don’t know what a gift is; when it comes to gifts from God, we tend to think we have to earn it. We don’t lose a gift just because we feel not worthy of having it or using it.
Last month’s prayer request included my cousin’s marriage. The prayer was included for the second time as she had not received the blessing by then. I prayed harder as I began to think, my prayer wasn’t good enough to bring down the stronghold.
One day in the prayer, Holy Spirit revealed me about His Gifts. He asked if, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves (not your efforts), it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9), why would your prayers not be good enough?

It is on purpose I am not allowed to depend on my worth, so that I can’t boast in myself. Rather I need to boast in the love of God in Christ to receive the Gifts of Holy Spirit. “For if they which are of the efforts be heirs, faith in Christ is made void, and the gifts made of no effect.Romans 4:14”. It is named as, “Obedience through faith”, in the new covenant

Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
I took the spirit of Christ in me and learned humility. I left my burdens at the foot of the cross and found rest.

Fruits of Holy Spirit

On the other hand, tree needs to be nourished to bear fruit. You may not know it, but when you accepted Jesus, Fruits are planted inside you in seed form. "Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16). "It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Galatians 2:20).
Through Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit nourishes us to bear fruits. Which Jesus encloses in a single verse, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” It is obvious, without the vine(Jesus)  through whom the nourishment (Holy Spirit) flows to the branches, fruits cannot be bore. Christ is the cornerstone.
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23"

What do branches do? How do they bear fruits? - They receive the nourishment from the vine. The more they receive it, the more fruits they bear.
“For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we(branches) are united with Christ Jesus(Vine). Ephesians 2:6”
We bear fruits by receiving Holy spirit through Jesus Christ.
“Peace He left with you; His peace He gave you. He did not give to you as the world gives based on circumstances. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27. Through the Spirit you can experience joy and peace in every circumstance, no matter how difficult or painful.

Secret of receiving a miracle.
Which is difficult ? Receiving a gift or bearing fruit ?

Looking at the list one might mistake that Fruits are easier to get, because we can show kindness to people or have joy in our life to some extent, but can hardly do any miracles.
But in reality, unlike fruits, gifts does not depend on our efforts, it’s given to us based on the finished work of Christ. In other words, we don't have to put our effort for healing, “by His stripes we are healed Isaiah 53:5.”

When are we God’s beloved children?

Wonderful people in Christ, God has given us the wonderful gift of enjoying His love. Not many have the gift, only a very few. When we feel like we are no longer part of the covenant in Christ, do we lose the favor ground on which we stand?
There will be times when we are not filled with the Holy Spirit, our spirit will feel weak; we will feel guilty for not being a joy we used to be; we will miss the words of faith we used to speak; we will feel sad for not leading the day gladly through His grace; we will worry about small things that we used to overlook; we will lose the courage that gained us admirers; we will whine like a child missing love and we will hope that the day ends soon.

In spite of all the uncertainties of the day, the one thing that will stay certain is the Love of God.

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?  No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39

Stand fast in His love. Let our spirit rejoice in the truth, we are still God’s Beloved Children.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27

“So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.” Hebrews 12:28
