Rejoice in the Lord always

Paul says "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Philippians 4:4".

Why is he again and again saying to rejoice in the lord always !! - Is there something that is worthy of rejoicing always, - or is it because it is so important and it needs to be done.

Yes both are true.

Is there something worth rejoicing ?

Yes there is something worth rejoicing that is why Paul emphasizes the point.
I am a champion in Christ. Is it not good enough?

I was born as a sinner, grew up as an imbecile and incompetent. Right when I had lost all the hope of being a champion. A ray of hope in Jesus, I went to Him just to rest and gain some strength and if possible borrow some from Him.

Out of nowhere my heavenly Father had declared me as a beloved son in whom, He is well pleased. I became a champion in Christ. Christ in me, became the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27.
There is reason to rejoice, !!!.

Is rejoicing in the Lord always so important ?

It’s hard for an all time loser to believe that he is a champion in Christ.

There is a saying, “Even if you bath a street dog in rosewater and bring him into your bedroom, he will go back to the streets”.
I realize how true it is, The Lord bathed me in the Holy Spirit and took me into his Holy presence.  But I am scared and not happy.
If you were an observer, what advice would you give the poor dog ?, you would probably feel sorry for him and say this, “Rejoice, you are no longer a street dog, and again I say rejoice”. Perhaps Paul is also giving the same advice to everyone. By rejoicing in what you have in Christ, you glorify Jesus and His finished work on the cross, you claim your heavenly heirdom.

So as Paul says, there is reason to rejoice in the Lord. And always rejoice in Him so that you will not forget ‘who you are in Christ’. Again I say rejoice !.
